We get inquiries from people traveling for school, religious sabbaticals, medical treatments, to take care of relatives, summer employment (park service and forest service), temp. construction workers, people displaced by natural disasters, even beekeepers!

Without knowing the exact contractual conditions, it must be recognized that they are fighting an uphill battle.They should now focus on getting all of the repairs done, getting the units re-rented and move on.That is a bitter pill, but unfortunately, it is not an infrequent occurrence.

Columbus has seen great appreciation that is projected to continue due to large organizations such as Intel, Honda, Nationwide Children's Hospital and Wexner Medical Center investing a lot of money to expand operations and create many new jobs in the area.

It is definitely more suited as vacation rental than a long term residence.My view is best MTR rentals are near medical facilities and universities.  

I have been content to be a homeowner of my primary residence, and to work full-time in my W2 job (in the medical field), but I'm starting to feel like it's time to look for sources of more "passive" income for our long-term financial well-being.My wife feels like as our first investment we should aim for getting a short-term rental, due to increased cash flow. 

While most of my guests have been traveling medical professionals which has no seasonality, I am finding more and more people searching for other reasons as well.

The good news is this, I have a committed new tenant that is a highly reputable medical professional that will commit for a long term lease and wants to be in and operational within a year.

If you have hospitals and medical facilities nearby, you should expect similar demand.
