The judge will sort it all out and from what facts you’ve presented above you will get your judgment.Keep all your docs and communication in writing, for if and when you have to show the judge.

@Carolyn Morales  absolutely file a complaint with the department of real estate in FLA.who ever mentioned the board.. they don't police this sort of thing its the state.

These people make plenty of money at their day jobs and are not looking for a monthly payout (though I think they would welcome an annual payout of some sort).

But it is always good to have some sort of plan in case you do need or want to sell.Good Luck.

I think my dilemma might be that a small portion of the note (200K) was provided by the SBA, so they may have some sort of guidelines restricting us from borrowing against the business.

Unless you're dedicated to fundamental investment (and have the time to research/learn accordingly) you're (sort of) teaching gambling.

I guess I did not realize I could participate directly with a sponsor as a non-accredited investor, sort of tricky because they can't advertise to me, however I'm not aware of a place where I can go and seek them out (except maybe here).

I would guess that it's in some sort of tax situation and giving the grandfather money will not work at this point.

If there is some sort of non-payment, then you can file a judgment at your local county courthouse.
