I had someone liquidate their kid's college savings once.College is important, so I semi-jokingly calculated it out as a hard money loan from the 6 year old to her parents, 2 points and 12%, amortized over 4 years, and encouraged them to make this their new monthly payment to their daughter's college savings, after which they can resume their previous contribution amounts.
