This appears to not be a very tight knit agreement by any means or negotiated with an attorney, so its probably not gonna stand up in court for the builder and you have an out.

So now you have a lot of airbnbs hitting the market where there may be local animosity towards that particular house as a STR (they may or may not clearly disclose it to you upfront) and often at tip top prices (far above 2018-2019 prices for equivalent vacation homes).

It appears to be a win-win situation for all parties.In hindsight I wish I had tried it, but at the time (for whatever crazy reason) I thought my house was a little to far away from majority of the hospitals (~20 minutes).

Since we are inheriting this, I don't think it's necessarily fair to come in and change things wholesale for the tenants who have been living under management that doesn't, it would appear, hold tight to the lease.
