As far as the finish work, I went with a contemporary (modern) look on plumbing, electrical, and hardware fixtures as well as the kitchen backsplash, sinks, etc.

Since I live 1.5 hrs away, my most important goal is to put fixtures and finishes in place that will look nice over time and require the least amount of maintenance.

The hallway light fixture has been changed out, as well as replacing the two "kid" fans with something more "grown up".Old ceiling fans:New bedroom wall color with new ceiling fan:The nasty, stained carpet is coming out; it was just left there while painting because then it didn't matter if anything got dripped on the floor.

I spend hundreds of dollars a year to get the best light bulbs for every fixture.  

After a couple of seasons he was once again traded to the Philadelphia Eagles where he and his new bride at that time, who played World Class Soccer on the US team that one the World Cup, purchased a beautiful flat and had the building in the photo for a view.

lead (and other metals) typically enter the water from the water itself being to acidic and dissolving the lead from the existing plumbing, solder, and fixtures.
