Would larger investors with professional property management find the on-site variety appealing in any way, or be repelled by it? 

I am looking a properties near college campuses and I am having a difficult time figuring out how I can make my property more appealing in terms of maintenance considering the schools are free for tenants and the order is completed day of or next day.

SFH and/or condos seem like the way I would start, and commercial property or strip malls has appeal as well.

Out of all the types of investing, getting a rental or airbnb property seems most appealing to me.

But I am not sure the risk/reward is quite as appealing to me now as it originally was.

The philosophy of greatest amount of cash flow for the less amount of properties does sound appealing to me.  

SO easy to get friends to move in with the appeal of the lake (boat in summer, flood a rink in the winter). 

Open concept, new flooring (LVP), new paint, new finishes, redesigned the kitchen, upgraded HVAC, and curb appeal.

But to answer your question, you can appeal the lien, file complaints with the state or professional associations.
