Are there risks that I should consider that wouldn't be a factor in the twin cities?

I started in Milwaukee after my company has reloacted me here from Austria and I was looking for an alternative to Wallstreet and 401k - so it was not my choice and at the time (fresh of the boat) I would have preferred a more exciting city like NY or LA.

Hey guys just a newbie here needing some advice.So I'm currently under contract for a small multi-family in Davis County, Utah which you Utah folks already know is about 30 minutes north of Salt Lake City.

What part of the city are you looking in to buy in?

I’ve been scoping out in my city and most houses are already marketed with agents.

I'm considering Richmond as one of my cities to find a rental in but I have no experience with the rent control practices. 

Sure, there are bad spots...but so does every city.

I have dealt with the city of Delray Beach but not west palm. 

In my experience it makes the most sense to invest in the outer edges of Austin or in the surrounding cities due to the prices in central Austin being much more expensive.
