Russell there are regional ones. 

Bend has regional fame/desire ergo for a small 100k town pop or less  3 hours from any major city  the RE prices quite high compared to other parts of the country.. you have a big over flow from CA and other parts of the country for the so called quality of life living there.

It is less than 5 minutes off of a major highway which is nice and fingers crossed a casino is in the plans about 5 min away which would be a nice draw as well.

All depends on the area as not everyone is as lucky as @Nathan G. is : )   By area, not just region but also the type of area this home is in.
