Jekyll claimed that the contractor also threatened his life when Jekyll tried to get our money back for the unfulfilled order (I never saw the police report, despite telling Jekyll to make one - based on his allegations to me.)It took me to visit Indy within the next two months to personally find and (politely) “serve” that contractor with a “put up or shut up” notice - the lien was removed within days after that.

I am currently comparing mortgage options for my first rental property that I plan to purchase early 1st quarter next year and I have come across some controversial approaches with the type of mortgage.I have a mortgage officer that I used to purchase my primary residence in California (note: the loan is ONLY under my Wife's name and we jointly hold title, so I "technically" do not have a mortgage at all), that has provided rates for a investment property - which Is what I understand is the best (safest/honest) way to go....I also reached out to another lender who said its better to apply for a "second home" type mortgage, and that "the mortgage police" will never know the difference - this feels wrong, but I would like to know what you all think....??

Hello all-I am looking at a few properties, one in particular is fully remodeled, has tenants but after asking questions about the area on a facebook group I am told that gunshots are heard in the area and police are present often. Is this an area where as an investor one sees opportunity with a unit thats fully renovated and a start to beginning to gentrify an area or an area where you'd rather avoid until more people jump into that shipAny advice would be helpful & appreciatedCarlos
