Remember, you don't pay for it until you use it...and then only what you have outstanding at any time.The cost impact is based entirely on what the use of funds would be...and how many times you would use them...with only one cost.

That may have been the case here and tenant couldn’t afford or maybe didn’t qualify (outstanding debt from previous place) so found someone to get it on for them.

Be aware, when you buy a certificate in FL, then want to be paid after two years if it hasn't been paid.....in order to send the property to an auction, You have to pay off all the other certificates outstanding, prior to sending the property to auction.

If a tenant decides to move they can't have a new voucher if they have an outstanding balance with a utility company or the landlord.
