I still have lots of credit card debt from when I was self-employed.

I mainly buy in 29205 and 29201 zip codes (I'd recommend staying away from 29203 for an out of state investor).

The main reason we'd like to get into RE is to help supplement our income since my wife stays home with our 3 young children.

I want to understand my personal and portfolio debt to income ratio.

I have been researching many different markets but my main question is - how do I choose one?

An LLC is a limited liability company which allows for the member(s) of the company to not be personally liable for the companies debts/liabilities.

I was told most investors do not like to invest in houses that are closed to main road which I can fully understand.

I live in a small town outside of chattanooga tn so that would be my main place and do some outside of there as well.

A place for opportunities with high rent returns for relatively low purchase investments.This question assumes you have good enough credit, debt/income ratio, income, etc that getting the loan will not be an issue.  

After bumbling into real estate as an asset on the otherside of the ledger, i see the numbers are not favorable with the accrued bad debt tacked on.
