However, on your last point I think most people in this venue will disagree with you.

I just received the following email that looked legitimate since I buy so many properties, and just signed online contracts last night on three different bank foreclosures.  

Just looking at the rentals, they saved me $1200 in taxes for 2017.  1 house lowered from a tax value of $183k to $153k, one from $137k to $130k and the other from $165k to $150k.  1 house in each of the major counties (Dallas, Tarrant and Denton).That first one brought half the savings and did have legitimate issues.

@Dan Close - I have a large (3,950 sq foot, 7BR) old mansion located at 1190 East Broadway, impressive woodwork and details, just between the two new Edwards Communities developments and a couple of blocks up the street from the new Paristown Point development (KCA's new event venue).

Kevin: Yes this tenant was actually living in this mess...there was alot of hair caked onto the sink from shaving, a leftover used bar of soap, and was seen moving out person belongings like clothing and a bed.I imagine we wouldn't have a hard time tracking him down as we have employment paperwork, application information, and even a forwarding address he left at key turn-in...although I would be very surprised if this address is legitimate(he must know what kind of evidence he left behind).Also no complaints from neighboring units of strange smells.George P.: I spoke with our maintenance head and found out that this tenant was fired from his maintenance position due to "coming into work sick and tired frequently" and having an alcohol problem.I agree the authorities should be contacted, but as far as I know this has not happened.

You only have two true bedrooms there, and you were OK with 5 occupants, so that is not an issue IMO.Policies on Animals are not discriminatory unless you are talking legitimate service animals.Again, your original post indicated an intent to discriminate based on family status by charging a higher security deposit for that reason.
