Hey Everyone,I just graduated college with no debt so I want to buy my first property and House Hack with college students, I found a property currently selling for $175,000 dollars, but I think It can be negotiated to a lower purchase price since it is a little outdated and the other houses in that same street have sold for less money, although it is outdated it could be rented for $550 dollars a month + utilities  and since it is a 4 bed, 2 baths; renting out the other 3 bedrooms while I live in one of them would help me break even with the house's monthly expenses.

Also, probably I'd have to fly out to KC a few times until I buy the property to meet the team, potential properties, etc which will add to the costs (~$600-$800 each trip) of owning an OOS property.Given this market, I'd like to hear from OOS investors if they think it's still doable to pull off an purchase worth investing in.I don't want to talk myself out of it again and focus on the negatives but also, want to make a sound decision that benefits me in the long term and doesn't hurt [much] in the short term.

I think it's a great market to enter with so many catalysts for growth! 

I’m sure when the OP thinks about it they will reach a similar conclusion. 

Hello all, I’m thinking of putting an offer on a place in Montgomery.

I’m currently in Nigeria Africa, and seriously thinking about moving to the States to start a career as a real estate entrepreneur. 

@Bob Stevens“Investor friendly” (insert type of contractor you need) - everytime I hear that I think - they want the cheapest price available.Saw a post recently on here someone complaining that tenant was complaining hvac was not working and they were doing trial and error to fix it.

I was thinking this could be a good strategy to scale and keep costs managable.
