I would love to hear some thoughts on what have been some of the successful ways(specific websites with greater reach) for people to advertise townhome rentals in the Simpsonville, SC or the Upstate, SC area.Thanks in advance for all your input.  

Has anyone advertised on Craigslist as a service their desire to take over a mortgage as financial help for people in trouble?

You CAN broker a contract...but when you advertise the HOUSE for sale you are brokering without a license.

So I found someone to do that for me.For #2--I'm a proponent in Social Media Advertising but the day to day managing of Facebook (researching articles to post, etc...) wasn't something I wanted to be spending a lot of time on.

You are asking a great question but a few of these responses seem to be personal advertisements.

Jump in the deep end, my friend.That said, someone is using bandit signs to advertise for a real estate investor apprentice.

The point is, make sure your intended use is compatible with the bank that you're applying with.2)  Ask them if there is any way to get a discount on the advertised rate. 

Do it all, phone calls, door knocking, mailings, online advertising, blogging, etc.  

The process I have heard of is setting a date, advertise it, and hold some open houses, and at the auction have a piece of paper listing bids and names.
