Going forward you can separate them into meaningful activities for book purpose.  

It's funny, the pressure of not having a paycheck almost activated a different part of my brain that became more focused, more willing to move to this area of uncomfortably when prospecting for deals and business.

Double check with a tax pro, though.Receiving interest, for me anyway, is one of the most highly taxed activities as well. 

This one is a much higher price point but I'm more comfortable because it's just down the street from me and actually has the same builder as my home, so I am very familiar with the structural condition and build quality. 

Except for the taped up window (which can barely be seen from the street), the house looks great from the outside.I think I've read that an inspection can be waived for any purchase so it's not like someone will come in and say "I know someone was living in here but I'm going to deem it not livable".
