This IS, legally, your late rent notice; management is following the legal steps they must go through toward the process of eviction. 

You may also want to put a right to extend in the contract. 

You could put together an offer on contract where they technically own the house until depreciation ends and then it converts to seller finance and they hold the note.

The lease is a legal document that needs to be honored by the buyer.

I would ask for a copy of their contract and read the provisions.
