I began my real estate journey two years ago when - as a Finance and Accounting student - I realized that real estate holds more economic opportunity than any investment vehicle I was being taught in school - namely stocks, ETFs, commodities, mutual funds, bonds, currencies, 401(k), IRAs, etc.

It's ironic that those facts that keep people locked in are sometimes exactly what makes them want to transfer to a self-directed IRA or 401k so badly.

I also know the benefits of having a self-directed IRA so that I can invest my funds how I please, but is it even possible for me to rollover my 401k or Roth into a SDIRA?

The IRA loans you the money, secured by a deed of trust or mortgage.

You can also look at self directed IRA that you can used to invest in Real Estate.  

I would say my net worth is about 55k and about 35k of that is liquid the rest tied up in ROTH IRA's/retirement accounts.

We also have SFR (paid in cash) in retirement account and cash in Roth IRA.

At this point I am looking for referrals for a CPA in Colorado that is knowledgeable in both out of state investing and working with self directed IRA's.
