Additionally, if the tenants have been in the property for multiple years, there could have been changes/addendums to the original lease (think rent increases and associated increases to security deposits to be in line with the rent increases) that might only be reflected in the addendums.

The original “schedule” assumes no early principal payments…it gets constantly adjusted to reflect any extra principal payments.
