Also, the master bathroom is in the middle of a remodel which will be done in a week or so - so that's a pretty significant upgrade over other units in the area.Combine that with new flooring in the front room, and there's definitely a case to an increase.

I chose vinyl over laminate downstairs because I thought vinyl would be more durable because it wouldn't warp with contact to water.But, it seems like I'd need to be more concerned about water upstairs because after people washing, they'd walk from the attached bathrooms to the bedrooms without their feet being completely dry.5) Should I be concerned that the installer couldn't tell me what the AC rating was for the laminate?

We ended up getting two bedrooms for the kids with walk in closets, a nice bathroom with double sinks and tiled shower/bath for the kids, an 88 sq ft laundry room, a 160 sq ft office with build-in shelves, a family/media room, and a large master suite (500-600 sq ft) including custom closet built-ins, double sinks, double shower heads.
