I put that in quotes because M&T is still a $16 Billion dollar market-cap firm, and their "local" region is the NorthEast, but easier to work with, and the LO was able to make decisions at her level, and not have to conform to the corporate overlords.

From my understanding some of the better states to incorporate are Nevada and Wyoming for the flexibility and leniency on business laws, taxes, corporate veils, etc.

Will depend on several factors like the type of property, type of tenants, your risk tolerance, other assets you own, your estate planning, laws where the property is located, etc.Any lawsuits would be limited to the assets of the LLC and not your personal assets (assuming you run the LLC appropriately and the corporate veil is not pierced).

If on the land registry you found out the home is owned by a corporation is there any way to find out the people who own the corp?

While there are some strong corporate players moving to Austin, from what I understand the city does not have much room to grow: where as DFW continues to see growth everywhere with solid companies relocating and or organically growing here.

For example could I private fund an investment property for a corporation? 

Congress may have to cut out a chuck of the corporate welfare, foreign aide, and give a little more to taxpayers/citizens. 

Does this adequately protect the individuals in the LLC or does this pierce the corporate veil?
