This will definitely require a mindset shift. 

Is the profit split automatically 50/50? 

This isn't Canada specific, but I would be concerned with water that caused significant ground shifting, or accumulated in such a way that it could not evacuate the site and either posed damage to mechanical electrical systems, or caused mold, rot and other issues attributable to excess moisture. 

Anything paid on the 6th I or after will be an automatic $50 late fee charged.  

So in that case lot 6 was automatically conferred the same easement rights across lot 1 that 'old lot 1' already had across lot 7.

So my slight shift I'd say is away from acquisitions at the moment, and over to preparation.
