Jefferson Park is a hot area for people in the film/tv industry, so I would think it could do well. 

The fact they are complaining online might be an indication the property manager dealt with them properly so be sure to ask the manager for their side of the story.I hope this basic guide helps.

What's the upside and down side to that.

The market that is still hot is the luxury and move-up buyer market right in between the $1M and $2.5M range. 

This happens naturally if you're in California, or some other hot area where you can buy a property today and then a week later it’s worth $100,000 more, it seems.

I have noticed their appraisals tend to come in a little on the higher side, but the odds are good you can get them to back down a bit with a solid value dispute.
