I’ve never felt with that type of unit so I would just be cautious and maybe try and connect with someone that has down it already.

Sounds like they didn't set proper expectations with the seller, didn't uncover all hidden objections, or didn't have a solid contract in the first place.

Your thermostats likely are 240VAC controllers.I don't have these in my low end LTR houses.I'd rip all these out and put in a modern and proper HVAC system.If your not too far north I'd put in a Heat pump system.
