However, the value that our company brings to the table in a scenario like this is certainly there.

Some people we know have expressed interest in partnering with us on some RE investing.What they bring to the table is capital and nothing else.

@Joe Villeneuve well, they will give you 3k 5k or 10k option to purchase so if I have 3k in equity and they give me 10k down ill have to put money on the table because i wont have enough equity .

But, I think there is tons of money on the table for Real estate investors to make housing sex offenders.)Just some food for thought. 

If not, then please explain.I assume by "wants a piece of the action" you mean that neither one of you is bringing much cash to the table and plan to use your respective credits (or possibly just your father's) to secure long-term funding for these 6 properties.

There nothing wrong with giving them a polite & professional response of telling them you don't give away free information and suggesting where they can start looking, especially if they are only looking for hand-outs and not bring something to the table. 

I've read them both of course but this time I'm trying to put into action writing down 3 things I'm grateful for each day, discussing 3 things we're all grateful for  at the dinner table, etc.
