The investment portion is tied to the size of the policy so to increase the investment, we would need to also increase the life insurance, which at the time wasn't something we were interested in.We will now just get a standard 20 year life insurance policy and call it a day.

When I replaced mine - I went with exact same brand and tank size but a high efficiency model - measured to make sure same height - Handyman was installing - of course it didn't fit through the door where the old water heater was.High efficiency one had more insulation and about 3 inches wider.
