If your offer is subject to financing then you should have some leverage to extend the loan commitment date and closing to the day the bank thinks it should get those done but I would make sure to be in contact with your agent and the bank and make sure your amendment has the dates the bank feels comfortable with.

Remember there is a vertical tile flange that extends about 1" up the wall behind that weep hole, and the wall waterproofing should overlap that tile flange, so any water that gets back there won't end up inside your wall regardless.

If the seller agrees to the extension, all that is signed is a Change in Terms Addendum to the Agreement of Sale which states that closing on x date is now extended to x date.

If you insist on extending him, contact the Section 8 case worker and they can tell you what steps to take.Personally, I would not extend or renew.

The tenant moved out on Jan 3rd of this year and I have not rented it  out this year due to extended improvements I've been making.
