@Josh Carr The three year redemption period (18 months if blighted) comes into play when purchasing a Tax Lien or Tax Sale Certificate on a property.I have successfully redeemed a Fannie Mae property that I received a Tax Sale Certificate for taxes paid in 2011.

OR, you can leave the electric service alone and you will pay for/supply electricity for both units and common areas.Same goes for water and hot water UNLESS you decide you will be paying for the water bill, sewer and hot water.Then you must make sure you can get a c-o (certificate of occupancy) so you can legally have a 2-family dwelling.Good luck!

We have yet to receive the certificate of occupancy from the city and it's causing us not to close on our property, this is for a new construction btw.

Here you need of certificate of lead compliance and registration with the town lots of places don't have those but maybe you have something different. good luck

If a Mexican worker wants to come to the US and do some of the work that I don't even want to touch... then I have no problem with that.I think most of the illegal immigrants are working at places that are "less picky" about who they hire because you have to submit social security card, brith certificate, etc. for your W-9 at most places.
