I have an opportunity to buy 10 houses around a college due to owner wanting to retire due to age and working on some charity programs that he and his wife have started.  

The job I am looking to get in to after college is any type of investment style job.

Only problem is I don't have the college education to apply for something of that magnitude, which has to be pretty competitive - I took the road of the entrepreneur and ran a business with a friend last year along with some other ventures.But that hasn't stopped me from learning anyway, so, I figured the next best way would be to bird dog.

There are vacation rentals, college rentals, regular blue collar rentals, etc.

I think my friend is leaning towards repaying his dad for the college expenses, and his dad buying the property .

Would this be most profitable near a college/school?

Of course there are people who never went to college who make more than people who went to college.
