My family (Dad and brother) and I are currently running a private security company in Dallas, and are excited to start a new family business venture of rehabbing property here in the DFW area.

I hate to see them having to go, but it's a business venture and needs to be run as such.My realtor will add a provision to deliver the unit vacant which gives me a chance to make repairs, clean up, and get a more appropriate rent with a proper lease in place.

You say that you've made some money via your other entrepreneurial ventures so my advice at this point would be to invest in yourself.

Our original plan was to flip and build, but after reading about wholesaling, it seems like a better option for me and possibly him as well (given his age).We already own a home here at my duty station (Savannah, GA), and have a very special friend who is a real estate agent ( my bestfriend's mom--- she is a gold star mom now, sadly).As I begin on this wholesaling venture, I realize my wife is understandably skeptical and worried at the potential return.

I guess the first step I'm taking towards my venture is learning how to manage my time
