It's a start to acknowledge I have never walked in the shoes of a homeless person - I wasn't raised by my abusive uncle on the Pine Ridge reservation, I've never been a war vet suffering from PTSD, and I don't understand what its like to have down syndrome or schizophrenia.

If you trip over your shoes laces, you can't sue the shoe lace manufacturer for damages unless you have real damages, like you knocked out your tooth.You also have to show mitigation against your own damages.

If so, visit them at their place and you'll get an idea of how tidy or not they are. 2) One problem I had was it was my PRIMARY residence, I do things like take my shoes off when I come in, and sometimes other people do not.

Now that you know your tenant is affecting the quality of life of the next door neighbor, which is a public nuisance if I remember the law class correctly, and you have a duty to take care of it.But, this is what I'd do in your shoes, to try and keep your neighbor from suing you.
