The truth is, real estate is just the vehicle for the business, and people fall in love with it.

It's hard to screen for this unless someone is outwardly a total Pigpen though- the ones I had issue with in my home had clean vehicles and apparently were just very lazy with their living space and/or thought that I would clean up after them like their mother...You may want to delegate lawn care and snow removal to a landscaping service so its one less thing for everyone to worry about.  

Murphy’s law if it can go wrong it will… not to mention the opportunity cost of money because flips can take a long time and there are many other investment vehicles out there with good returns for much less work and less risk.

The kitchen cabinets,  bathroom cabinets, crown molding, baseboards, banisters, wainscoting, chair rails, built in book cases on each side of the hearth, closet doors (solid oak), bedroom doors (solid oak), window sills, overhead exposed beams, EVERYTHING - down to the spindles in decorative ornamental design, newel posts, even the attic access doors ha- all custom made for the house from solid oak.

Real estate in my opinion/experience is the perfect vehicle for that mentality, yet most still find themselves "trapped" in the bigger/more/millions mindset, meaning wasting more precious time.

What I learned in foriegn countries is that when the Government lowers Interest rates to where you cannot make any Money Investing in Fixed Income vehicles, they force the citizens to make Businesses and buy and sell things like Houses and Cars etc.

Hi all, I'm debating on investing in some vehicles to put on Turo.

The contractor isn't billing out a several thousand dollar job, where is he supposed to make money to cover his vehicle expenses ?

Purchase price: $223,000 Cash invested: $70,644 Single family home in a nice area but I believe has a lot of potential for appreciation since it is close to the soccer stadium, bars and restaurants, and the light rail line.
