In my last post, I noted how home builders and commercial contractors were experiencing sticker shock.

The entry level tickets were sold out, and I was rather shocked by the sticker price for the "Standard" level ($999) for a 3 day conference.

People were walking around with their "ELITE" name badge stickers all over the place.

You can either buy the kit for $150 and get a sticker that extends your warranty, buy the kit a la carte and have some kind of piece of mind knowing you have that extra anode, or change your anode rod every couple years ($20 in materials) if you can get to it.

But if the expenses did come in at 50%, then you won't go into 'sticker shock' because you planned for it.So just keep in mind that you figure the expenses, less the mortgage, to be 50%

THAN, when you get those approval letters, sit down Ma & Pa, show em how you got in, then hit em with the sticker shock and let it sit just long enough for them to make that beautiful statement that they got it covered. 

I think people usually just get sticker shock when they compare the 2.

However, in historical context rates are still pretty normal now at 6.5% - we just have sticker shock coming from 3% (which was insanely low for a 30yr fixed!!)

They really really pushed one guy hard who eventually did sign up and he got to wear a VIP sticker - on his chest and the instructor had the class clap for him.
