It felt super dismissive, and it became clear he just wanted me to sign the papers.If I were to do this again, I’d reach out to more agents and have more conversations to find someone who is more empathetic.

They didn’t justify an underperformance out of fear.So rather than looking for validation for underperforming and hiding behind the moral justification of not wanting to sacrifice the time with family that it takes to achieve _______ (whatever thing), the better question is, how can I reach my full potential as a provider while at the same time figuring out a way to meet my full potential as a husband and father and all other roles in my life.
