The syndications can give you tax-deferred monthly/quarterly distributions due to the GP doing a cost segregation analysis and applying the massive yearly depreciation (on building/parking lot/roof/HVAC etc) against the yearly income.

Be very careful w private real estate syndications, some great ones, some really not great ones, and takes years of investing experience/understanding debt/property management/taxation rules etc before you should safely go that route, but then they can be awesome as they give high yields w passivity, the Holy Grail of RE investing :)you are on the right path, and RE far less complicated than the Krebs Cycle too :)

Yes:- file state tax extensions if you have state income tax- make estimated state tax payments- file amended 2018 returns if needed, unless you filed a 2018 extension in 2019-  make1st quarterly estimated payment towards your 2022 taxes- adopt a dog from your local shelter

Mortgage interest rates will remain elevated for a longer time period and I am estimating we won’t be back to an attractive rate - below 6%, where folks storm back to the market and feel comfortable leaving their home w/ a low interest rate mortgage - until the 2nd or 3rd quarter 2025.
