We have retirement accounts, a small private stock market account, and an emergency fund. 

All is not lost, if you can find a seller of the apartments who is alos willing to finance the purchase for you;  Or look for a private/hard money lender.

But maybe its worth it if you don't have a place to get hard/private money for deals. 

Their customer support is terrible and some of their software, but they have about 8x the site traffic in general than Airbnb and VRBO combined, surprisingly.  

You will get more for the property versus selling it to a private party or wholesaler.

As an example, we joined an expensive, but exclusive private networking group 12 years ago.  

I had never heard of such a thing.. and most private flippers dont know it either So like on our subdivisions whatever LLC we own it in that LLC also has to have a developers license .. so  If you have multple subdivision going in multiple LLC you need multiple developers licenses.. where this can stymie some folks  NOT EVERYONE can qualify for a Bond.

I’ve had great experience with private landlords in the past, and have found fellow pet lovers that didn’t charge pet rent, or accepted my larger dog (when he was alive) to live in an apartment without hassle.

Applicant credit scores should be treated with a high level of care and should not be handed out when they aren't assured that you are locking them up and taking due care with private and sensitive data.So, many places, including the screening company we used for years before moving to a PM, provide a suitability score rather than the actual credit score.
