In 1987 I bought an old Cape built in 1942, the Pearl Harbor attack was on a front page newspaper stuffed in the bathroom wall to hold the soup dish in place during the build.The stucco had seen better days & was peeling away from the wire mess & leaking badly within the wall cavity.

I poured a few bottles of Dawn dish detergent over the next 12 months and watered it in until grass finally began to grow back.I did all the work myself (except the new 200 Amp service) over a fourteen month period, including painting inside and outside.

That works great for a lot of things...AC registers, light switches and outlet covers, towel bars, shower curtain rods, soap dishes, exhaust hoods above the range, the range itself, fridges, windows..heck I even refinish showers and bath tubs with appliance epoxy spray paint...love it...

There’s only 1 serious headache that I’ve had so far and luckily they were all bark and no bite.Rarely have any damage over $50... mostly a broken dish or forgotten beach towel.
