Building inspectors love quoting "A structural engineer" for anything and everything.Even a dime size hole in the siding.They kill a lot of deals with their terminologyJust my opinion.Thanks

Generally easy to fix.If you're thinking about changing to completely different window coverings, you will need to take down the head rail and patch the holes in the wall and perhaps repaint.

I took extensive video and pictures when i moved as the house was not, to most people in move in condition, obviously cleaned but very cheap and very old carpet, large areas of rooms that weren't entirely painted weird hardware sticking out of walls, screw holes or remaining screws and nails, several patched but not painted areas, tons of areas with drawing, water, oil marks on the walls (from a centimeter to 1 foot) etc etc!

In general, from a business standpoint, the townhomes would be easier probably, but if you just have a passion for the idea of keeping the streetfront activated with a couple of shops, and it makes you happy without putting you in the hole, then do it.
