If it was your primary residence and you sell while you have lived in it for 2 out of the 5 years prior to sale then you would get the first $250K of profit ($500K if married) tax free.If you're not living in it now and your intent was to hold it as a rental but you decide to sell then you could do a 1031 exchange.
