Tax free money is huge.I may have 100k of instant equity so I don't care about about tax write offs.

I'm glad to see there are possibilities to invest remotely.We are considering a future project in the United States, specifically in Florida, Texas, or California.

Although i do think there is more money to be made in RE than selling soap. 

FidelFidel,When I saw your question I got interested as most Canadian investors are rather running away (or pausing) from investing in RE in Canada.But to help in your journey, here's what I can share mostly from either my personal experience or discussion with relevant professionals. 

Another throws around the made up terms like “snowball” and “infinite” as if they have some magical power to rewrite the rules of finance.  

I know that I am taking a huge risk by wanting to build but the existing properties are either in areas I’d never live in or too far away from the Metro Detroit area and I really want to come back to the city in the safer parts before I’m priced out in the future.
