I know personally quite few Sec.8 Tenants who drive nice cars (Lexus, Jeep Wrangler), take vacations, enjoy shopping in high end malls......they work for cash and have free health care, food stamps and Sec.8 Housing.These are not legal reasons but that's not what I believe I should do.

I once had a call saying half the refrigerator isn't working they refrigerated all the food in the freezer while waiting for a replacement but normally the fridge is a complete failure and tenants are not that flexible.

I'm in Cook County, so it's most likely a bit different, but in my experience, steps 2 and 6 are the ones that most tax buyers get lost on.

Also, there are common domestic hot water tanks (gas paid by the owner), and a single gas meter so all tenants' cooking gas is paid by the owner as well.
