Hi @Sam Mishra what's more important for you, affordability or Jersey City  area?   

The cost of the furniture is tough up front-- you can rent furniture or go through FB marketplace.

Most students from my experience, are locked up with housing by that time and I can’t afford to go a full school year without it leased 🤣😭

There is no lack of affordable homes.

Since I can’t afford to pay cash for a home here in North Carolina, pay cash for a home in places like Detroit, Alabama, or Ohio.

High property prices mean fewer people can afford to buy, so more people rent.

We do have 1 mid term rental where we allow pets, but it's all hard surface flooring, fenced in backyard, and has pretty durable furniture. 

I've been doing investment real estate for many years and the biggest way to get started is finding a commercial real estate market you can afford as the biggest hurdle.

ALSO they have regs on rooming houses only allowed in specific zoning, similar zoning as for hotels;  only on main streets in business districts AND you have to apply for licensing and blabla as for a hotel..That said;  there is a small movement supporting rent by the room as a small step toward solving affordable housing.
