Not to mention you are now paying workers compensation insurance, professional liability insurance, general liability insurance and other misc. expenses of operating a second business, so it really is dependent on the size of your operation and portfolio. 

You may be getting a pay check, cash flow, or some other form of compensation from the operations of the asset going into your bank account but the asset hasn't generated actual profit to the bottom line until all of your invested cash is out of the deal.

Normally, as a listing agent, we would advertise the compensation for the buyers agent as a way to entice them to show and help sell the property.

You may be pleasantly surprised to learn they can and will compensate you fairly.

I think that's fair, but I do feel like, eventually, buyers will start to see the value, and if the seller is willing to go through the extra trouble, they should be compensated.

In general if sellers are looking for a larger down payment we try to introduce them to local credit unions or lenders that can utilize compensating factors for qualifying on more favorable long term financing solutions.
