A general rule of thumb though (not a hard rule) is that if a market has a prolonged history of vacation rentals such as towns whose commerce is very dependent on tourism like beach or mountain towns, then there is a good chance than those towns have established their airBNB regulations decades ago and are likely stable.

I utilize a PO Box as well.It wouldn't be hard for our tenants to find out where we live (tax assessor's online tool) ~ But for $50/yearly ... it gives me a bit more piece of mind :)

@Landon Sheveland People do fix and flips while living into the property to classify the property as primary residence and not pay any capital gain taxes. if that is your intention, don't use LLC to establish this as your LLC.If your goal is different compared to what I said above, you can use LLC.
