I just haven't done this before myself,  and want to see what others have done before me.A grateful thanks in advance for any shares or pointers.

The only problem is that I will be in a job rotation program for the next 2 years, meaning I'll be changing locations every 6 months.

Just go on the Housing Authority website and search for the Housing Choice Voucher Program.

We notified the PM in advance and before we entered the property, the PM told us that tenants had been notified.
