I have a fealing the city will fine you as the landlord for the violation 

I'd have to do some more research as far as what the going rates are in the area, but I've had friends in other cities see a really high ROI from AirBnB.

I have a 1B/1.5 bath 1,000 sq ft apartment in the heart of LoHi with spectacular city views that I either need to rent or sell in the next month. 

We are looking to relocate to another city and state for more job opportunities.

@Albert Jones Looking at property in Indianapolis is no different than any other city.

It all depends on the specific numbers, age of the condo, the specific city/town.

On the other hand, we have opportunities in our city to buy either vacant land or knock-downs in rapidly appreciating areas, put up new construction, and make an absolute killing.

Next go to your city's public records however you can access it and find property values.

I personally think that Rent Control will literally kill the city's rental market as well as force investors to look elsewhere thanks to the fact that Chicago is already a challenging place to be a landlord. 

But based on it being a one bedroom, with off street parking for one vehicle, it probably turns off a lot of people.
