I note that Rentometer.com has a much more conservative estimate for rent than zillow.com, I'll be looking at its data more completely tonight.In the meantime, how do you decide on deposit amount, relative to rent?

Then the issue of dealing with security deposit return has to be handled, and then collecting same from the new roommate to be applied to deposit amount due under the new lease.

I also asked if I were supposed to get the deposits and prorated rent (the building closed on the 10th and rents were collected on the 1st) and have been told by everyone 'I don't know' so mainly my questions are 1.
