I agree with Wayne, the bank's short sale department will control the sale the whole way.  

In many counties you can visit the building department and submit a FOIL request for anything you want to know related to the property (violations, certificates of occupancy, back taxes, etc).  

The fee I paid to him, more than was covered by this one single mistake.His connections in the building department got my permits quicker as well.

Deutsche Bank had only ONE department to deal with inquiries from any property they are a trustee of.- The only way they will respond to inquiries (since they don't do so over the phone) is to mail or fax them a copy of deed (acquired online depending on your state) and a letter stating your intentions for the property.

read the meter yourself, call the water department with the reading and let them know they made a mistake, talk to your councilperson for help.The water dept. make lots of mistakes.

Hello Brian: I suggest you file a complaint with Department of State- once they get this complaint; they will have no other option but to respond to your requests; otherwise they can end up loosing their license.
