As an UAlbany Alumni, heading up recently I noticed a lot of movement and growth on Broadway, with the cider and cross fit etc. springing up.  

I know that sounds weird when talking about REI - and I agree - there are better cash following investments than $2000 properties but this is more me trying to wrap my head around it as a concept.

I apologize in advance if I ask anyone on here annoyingly dumb questions - I learn better by asking specific questions than just reading books and theorizing in my head.

Maybe this is just my broker's legal department being overly cautious, but that's what's been drilled into my head. 

I can understand why you are looking to invest out of your area (CA), but you may as well know that you need a good set of eyes on the market and the property to find or create a deal where the profit is on your side.I currently live in an area where I create great returns, but I am moving out of the cold winters and heading south, so I have been selling of my properties. 

I know with a new baby that sounds unrealistic but just might be the best option in the long run, I'd keep looking for another property you have a roof over your head and can still manage for awhile where your at.  

No, it's that they are over their head, and they don't know what to do when the deal starts to go go bust.  

So I just returned from a 3-day note investing seminar and my head is still swirling.
