Two months ago I spoke with Joe Massey with Castle & Cooke and he said they have programs for self employed for people.

More people cooking/sharing a kitchen, more showers being taken affecting hot water consumption, more persons to occupy one of the couches or tvs, more personalities to adapt with and keep consideration for, etc., plus the utilities you mentioned- water, Wi-Fi, shared amenities such as paper towels and soap etc.I’m not trying to be combative, as your point makes sense.

I am also realizing that a lot of my funds are in Roth IRAs (I am the one who would go the Solo K route, being self-employed) and the larger pot of money between my spouse and me, is what would go into the SD IRA, as he is full-time employed.

I suggest you get with dad, then get to an attorney, then with guidance perform your due diligence, don't just toss money in some pot, you need to own the loan. 

Being an Entrepreneur is NOT for everyone. yes, anyone "can" cook, but not everyone should.

I would like to outsource cooking, grocery shopping, paying bills, folding clothes and just about everything that isn't FUN or GOING TO MAKE ME RICH, but eventually you would spend all of your time and money outsourcing rather then living your life.

If any commission puts a brokerage on suspension for 90 days, what do you think all the agents will do....they aren't hanging around the coffee pot , they will be moving their license!

And reality is the page hits and clicks feed the pot and that aint bad.I told a a customer about your site the other day and he didnt have an idea it was hear.
