Thank you guys for the response these were much needed tips I didn’t think of yet. 

I don't know a ton about it and anybody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I understand it's when you basically buy land or a commercial property and a business entity (or multiple business entities) pays you rent, but that entity is responsible for EVERYTHING and you just get to collect money. 

I asked him what terms he would be looking for and this was his response?

On the face of it, you've taken good advantage of the zero down borrowings available under VA, but, it looks to me like it's time to be a responsible saver as well?

Then one judgment for Fifth Third Bank for $380k.How does one discern which judgments they would be responsible for?

So interview some banks, narrow it down to 2 or 3, and get loan estimate for each.Admittedly, the Loan Estimate doesn't tell you if they are fair, honest, responsive, care about you, etc.
